Yoga for Veterans

Yoga for Veterans

Dig In Health Co facilitates a weekly yoga class at Mates 4 Mates Sunshine Coast (Maroochydore) every Wednesday at 5:45 pm in collaboration with Frontline Yoga. In this one-hour trauma-aware yoga class, the focus is on creating a safe and supportive environment for all participants to connect with their body.

The class is designed to be gentle, slow-paced, and mindful, with an emphasis on listening to one's body and practicing self-care. The facilitator (Jenna) provides options for different poses to accommodate individual needs and encourages attendees to move at their own pace.

Gentle breathing exercises, guided meditation techniques along with props (bolsters & blocks) are incorporated to promote relaxation and reduce stress.

This class is tailored to the specific needs of Veterans and is open to their family to join and is suitable for all levels of experience. To join a class simply register with Mates 4 Mates.
